Local Companies Explain Benefits of ISO Status

Two local companies celebrated the award of their ISO 9001 status last week by hosting an event for companies who want to learn more about what the ISO standards can do for their business.

Web development company, UKNetWeb, worked with data security and back up company, Forward ITC, to plan and deliver an event that cuts through all the noise to the bare business facts of gaining ISO accreditation.

Free Event for Businesses Considering ISO 9001

Two Cornish companies are to celebrate achieving ISO 9001 status by helping other businesses in the county get to grips with the reasons behind gaining the accreditation.

St.Agnes based, UKNetWeb, and neighboring business, Forward ITC, both undertook the ISO 9001 accreditation process last year and will be presented with their certificates, marking completion of the application process, at a special event later this month.

Conference Champions the Women of Cornwall

For the second year running, the SMART Women Project are holding their pioneering conference, where an astonishing programme, featuring the South West’s finest experts in the fields of women’s enterprise, will meet at Tremough, June 23, for this inspiring one day event.

St Mellion hosting Business Needs and Support Exhibition

The second annual St Mellion Business Needs and Support Exhibition is due to take place on Wednesday May 21st.

Organisers hope the event, which will run from 10am to 5pm at St Mellion International Golf Club, will surpass the popularity of last year’s inaugural exhibition which attracted hundreds. Like last year it is due to be opened by Carleen Kelemen, Director of the Partnership Office for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Cornwall College Business (CCB) is giving local businesses the opportunity to discover how they can grow by attracting skilled people to their company at a free event this summer. The event, ‘Attracting young Cornish talent: An opportunity for your business’ is being held on Friday 13th June and is being hosted by Cornwall College Business (CCB).

FSB on Tour

The Cornwall Region of the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) are starting their summer round of hosting and attending events around the county. Their key objectives are to hear from businesses first hand, about the issues that are making trading unnecessarily difficult and to offer some help, signposting and lobbying expertise to ease the burden.
