		<description>I can't see from this exactly how Cornwall's economy is 'bucking the national trend' - nor, if you take his words at face value, does Martin Follett.  Confidence is down, growth is much slower and its getting harder and harder for us all.

So in what way is it bucking the national trend?

Maybe the region's economic environment attracts and produces a hardier, more inventive and adaptable species of business in the first place.  I personally believe that.

I also believe that 'spin' has no place in that environment either.  Our obsession about 'talking ourselves into recession' is in danger of being an excuse to avoid looking at reality.</description>
